What is a TimeBank?
A TimeBank is a community of people who exchange services without exchanging Money
How it works
When you spend an hour doing something for somebody in your community, you earn an hour into your "bank", which you are then able to spend having someone do something for you. Everyone's time is worth the same amount, regardless of the type of services performed.
The Unity in Our Community TimeBank...
is open to all residents and interested parties in the Chadsey-Condon, Corktown, Hubbard Farms, Springwell's Village, and surrounding neighborhoods in Southwest Detroit who are looking to meet their neighbors and help strengthen the community.
Some current offers include:
Neighborhood clean-up, community safety, tutoring, transportation, babysitting, grocery shopping, gardening/lawn care, computer training, home organizaing, cooking/baking, pet care, painting, minor home repairs, music lessons, sewing and mending, and much more!
